..but I felt so motivated!
Motivation is like rocket fuel. It helps get your idea, business, creative project etc. off the ground. It burns hot and violently, it’s loud, it’s force is incredible. It makes you work through the night, quenching hunger, thirst and fatigue. It makes you lose all sense of time.
Here’s the catch - eventually it runs out.
Once you are off the ground, you’ll need something else to stay on course and move forward steadily.
Gentle adjustments in direction, navigation and steady propulsion are required once you left the iron grip of gravity. Strong habits and routines are the answer. Those habits are much more subtle, almost not noticeable in isolation. They don’t happen with a earth shattering, fiery bang. They happen silently, every single day.
Now here’s the challenge. Initial Motivation feels fantastic and impactful. Daily Habits and Routines can feel boring and almost meaningless.
Mastering both is the key to sustainable long term success.
