Graduating
Charley just graduated from primary school. (yes, that’s a thing)
We were invited to participate in the ceremony, the kids had a little program prepared, there were songs, dances and some speeches. The crowning finale was receiving the certificate from the principal on now officially being a “Middleschooler”
I assumed it would be a relatively simple affair followed by taking loads of pictures, throwing hats in the air and then going home.
Little did I know that I would be standing there amongst 75 people, squeezing out a little tear or two and getting quite emotional during the whole thing.
It was this moment of realization that this little person will soon go out in the world and do his own thing. He will grow up, maybe get married, maybe have a family, maybe move abroad, maybe start a business, maybe….
I can’t wait to see this beautiful life unfold & I already miss my little boy.
