Negative self-task really sucks. It can become a self-fulfilling prophecy because it traps us in a little cage. And like you said, it’s beautiful out there!

Also, I hope you didn’t lose any fingers, haha!

Yes you're so right - self fulfilling prophecy! The opposite is true too.

What's your way of catching negative self talk and breaking through?

You know I always think of those simulation games I’ve played. There’s a momentum to those. Once you figure out the “rules” of that momentum you’re over performing on all front. Obviously, life is more complex than that and figuring it out can take longer. But there is still that momentum aspect to it. The regulation of emotions and the self talk play a big part of it.

So usually when I have shitty thoughts it’s because I need some regulation somewhere.

I’ve been meditating and journaling here and there and it helps a lot. Also, sometimes it’s just a matter of sleeping, drinking water, eating something or doing something else.

Other people help to identify negative self-talk too. But if people tell it to you, it’s a sign that it can be caught earlier. You’re already boiling with it by then.
